chicken noodle soup

Chock full of fresh veggies, meats and delectable egg noodles nothing says love like home made chicken noodle soup ! Hearty soups are satisfying  for lunch and dinner along with a great crusty loaf of french bread,  a warm grilled cheese sandwich,  or a fresh salad!  Quick to make and easy too  !  Saute  fresh onion, garlic, celery and carrot in a stock pot with butter( cutting veggies in uniform pieces ensures they cook in the same length of time) ,,once veggies are starting to sweat i add my chicken and salt, pepper, cover with water or stock and fresh herbs...My favorites are dill, parsley thyme and a bit of basil ....   cook till chicken is done ....add egg noodles and cook till al dente .... and salt to taste....great for a sick day too ..  On a day like today when my mom and mother in law are both sick'  I believe a jar of this fresh warm soup will be just what the doctor ordered !!!
